It's all about Family.

Elly la Fripouille's story began in 2011 when our founders, Audray & Fabrice, discovered the idea of sun protective swimwear which has not made its way to Europe back then. Being parents themselves, they understand that kids’ safety is always parents’ top concern. That was what inspired them to adapt the concept for the very youngest, who are the most sensitive to the sun's rays.

In French, Fripouille means naughty, mischievous, playful, ... The brand is named after their first-born, Elly, a mischievous minx who is the inspiration for our beautifully designed, playful and dreamy world.

For more than a century, sunglasses made in Italy today have been internationally appreciated and recognized for their high quality and innovative design. Elly la Fripouille is proud to be the first brand that offers affordable babies and kids sunglasses without compromising any degrees of protection nor quality.

We are also proud to say that our anti-UV clothing is recommended by dermatologists and pediatricians. Our first Nautical collection was an instant success. The swimwear was sold in luxury outlets, Hotels (The Four Seasons being one example), and other high end children's clothes shops in Europe and Asia, where french brand's resonate very well.

Incarnating the French touch, Elly la Fripouille’s sunglasses are not only inheriting the ever-lasting classy designs, we are also daring with fearless colors such as neon yellow and funky pink.

Inspired by the coast of Normandy, our swimwear embodies the essentials of the classic sailor suit, creating a fun and cool striped anti-UV set that was bright and trendy.

At Elly la Fripouille, one of our fundamental missions is to ensure that all our products are made of toxic-free materials. Our sunglasses are made of a non-toxic teether material that is safe for all babies and young children.

No more panic when you see your kids chewing any parts of their sunglasses. Elly la Fripouille’s sunglasses are free of dangerous chemicals and toxins such as Bisphenol-A (BPA) and phthalates.

To ensure our designs are of the best quality, we carefully select high quality fabrics, certified free of chemicals harmful to the health of infants and children, and also respectful of the environment (OEKO TEX STANDARD 100).
